  If I could rate zero stars, I would. I have been a customer for 7 years with no problems until the past 6 months. I was told that I would be charged extra for adding my fiancé to my policy because we did not update the “required paperwork” for him when we added him to the policy, even though I was told multiple times that I had done everything I needed to do. Then, our price increased. I called to ask why and was informed of the reason I explained above. I explained the situation and was told by a gentleman that worked there that all I needed to do was have my fiancé download and app and track the next couple of trips when he drove so that we would be eligible for our discount. I was also told that if I paid extra that month, I would pay less the next time I was billed. Instead of paying the $110 on my bill, I paid $150 (AS I WAS TOLD TO DO BY AN EMPLOYEE). The next month when I received my bill for $170, I called to pay. I explained that I paid an extra $40 the previous month so that I wouldn’t have to pay the $170 this month. The lady on the phone told me that was wrong and that I owed $170. I was told I would get a call back once she talked to her boss. That never happened, so I ended up calling the office back. I was told that she wasn’t sure why I was still being charged the $170 and that she never talked to her boss, but that she could figure out the issue and call me back. Knowing she wasn’t going to call me back, I told her I would just pay the $130 that I owed them and be on my way. She insisted that I still owed $170, but couldn’t explain to me where the extra $40 I had paid the previous month was. I told her an employee (I know he was a male, but I don’t know his name for sure) told me that this was how to handle the situation, she informed me that he no longer works for that company. After arguing with her, I just ended up paying the $170. She said she would email me a receipt (and never did). Before I hung up the phone, I told her I would like to cancel my policy instead of renewing it in November when it was time to renew. That was the end of that, or so I thought. Today I find out that they had cancelled my insurance policy that day (WITHOUT INFORMING ME). I only found out because my car payment increased by $200 since I was apparently driving without insurance. I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED THAT MY INSURANCE WAS CANCELLED. Plus, what happened to the money that I had paid them if my insurance was cancelled? It wasn’t a tip for the crappy service I had been given! Now I am left to foot the bill after being a loyal customer for 7 years! If you want good customer service and employees that actually know what they’re doing, look elsewhere. I will be telling everyone I know not to use this poor excuse of a car insurance company. You should be ashamed of scamming people out of their money and treating customers so poorly. I will be reporting this.
